Summer, Summer, Summertime...

It feels so strange to be posting weddings of summertime when we have so much snow outside! It's nice to have a little break from the snow even if it is only in photos. The following photos were taken by one of our wonderful vendors, Karen Linsley with Image Angels. We love Karen! She's been a photographer in the South Lake Tahoe area for many years she must know every perfect picture place in the area. This is from Damaris and Ian's wedding on August 29th. They had a beautiful day for their wedding! I love this shot of the Garden.

Oh, Pam and Anthony. Working with Pam and Anthony was so much fun. It was such a family affair. Pam's mom was very talented in pretty much everything. She made the cake, the chair covers, decor -- all of it. One of my favorite details from their wedding...the precessional song. After the ceremony, Pam and Anthony walked down the aisle to "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. Pretty unique. 

This is one of my favorite photos from the year. I love how it really captures the essence of girlfriends! This is from Tamara and Gordon's wedding in July.

We're back!

Hi All!!

First off, sorry for the long delay between posts. This summer took off with a bang and went out with a bang! Now that we are entering our winter season, the blog will be updated on a more frequest basis. I have emailed all of our photographers for photos of the weddings that we did over the summer, but until I receive those I will leave you with some photos of Morgan and Preston's wedding held here on August 6th. They had their ceremony in the Grand View Garden with the reception immediately following at The Eagle's Nest.

Tim and Jen's fun wedding!

Hi again. I've done some posting in the last week and like I said, I am finally finished with the March recaps. This Saturday marks the start of the summer wedding season for me so look for some better photos from professional photographers! I'll keep it short and sweet, but I will let you know that the photography was all done by Jaime with Rose Street Studio (so amazing!) and again, Katie with Katie Cakes & Sugar Pine Bakery.

Hello! I have one more post including this one to have the March weddings recapped! My goal is to have them all on the blog by Friday -- I can do it!

I know you all are probably very, very tired of my point and click Sony, but this one is yet another Sony taken wedding. Summer season is approaching and I promise to have much better photos for you from here on out. Summer season actually starts for me May 1st even though it is still very snowy in Tahoe. We've got lots of girls getting married in May and June and I am looking forward to everyone of those weddings. It is going to be a great summer! Anyway, I'll stop now and show you some photos from Kim & Geoff's wedding we had here in March. We actually got the pleasure to host four events for this family: a spa day, a rehearsal dinner, a wedding, and a brunch. It was a lot of fun.

The colors of the wedding were primarily a clover green with brown accents. In order to bring them all in, they used the white tablecloths that came with the site fee and also ordered white chair covers and chocolate brown sashes. We also put together their centerpieces -- simple but nice! We can do these in any color that you like as well.

Check out the kids' table! They were completely occupied all night long!

Katie, with Tahoe Katie Cakes made the cake. It was a very nice and elegant. It was an all fondant cake with purple sugar paste flowers and green leaves that Katie made from scratch.

Starting about a month prior to the wedding, I was receiving packages almost daily of candy. They had decided to go with a candy buffet for favors, but were driving all the way from Texas so they had it shipped to me. My office literally smelled like chocolate and I am definitely not complaining! I got to put together their candy buffet for them -- I love doing candy buffets. Not only do they smell great, but you can make them look great as well.

You can't tell me you wouldn't dig into that...!

Revisiting March Weddings....still!

Hi Everyone! Well, I hate to admit it, but I am still wrapping up the blogs for the March weddings. However, this blog will be different. Instead of torturing you all with not so great photos from my wonderful point and click Sony Cybershot, I've got some professional ones for you! Brandi, with Indigo Photography, was so very kind to send me some photos from the ones that she took for Kara & Jon's wedding. Brandi is such a talented photographer and we are so lucky to be able to offer her services through our pacakges. And warning you all -- this might be photo overload, but I had so many good ones to choose from!

The entry table is such an underrated table. Kara had used the favors to double as escort cards as well that guests picked up as they came into the reception. Instead of a guest book, guests signed river rocks with their well wishes and then put them in to a glass apothecary jar. And Tina had made a HUGE floral entry way arrangement.

About 100 guests were present for their wedding. Our indoor facility maxes out at 100 chairs, but most of the time, we just leave some standing room just in case. Brandi was able to catch some really great shots of the ceremony site.  

The restaurant set up was all banquet tables and the centerpieces and Kara's bouquet were all made by Lavish Floral.

The cake was made by Katie with Katie Cakes and Sugar Pine Bakery.

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great Spring. The weather in Tahoe has been nothing short of amazing. Still snowing -- can you believe it? At least we will have a good lake level this year if the snow keeps up!
