Engagement and Boudior Sessions have become such a hit when you plan your wedding! Engagement photos are great to display at your wedding while boudior photos have become a wonderful gift to give to your groom! Tim and Jen's fun wedding!
Hi again. I've done some posting in the last week and like I said, I am finally finished with the March recaps. This Saturday marks the start of the summer wedding season for me so look for some better photos from professional photographers! I'll keep it short and sweet, but I will let you know that the photography was all done by Jaime with Rose Street Studio (so amazing!) and again, Katie with Katie Cakes & Sugar Pine Bakery.

Almost finished with March recaps...
Hello! I have one more post including this one to have the March weddings recapped! My goal is to have them all on the blog by Friday -- I can do it!
I know you all are probably very, very tired of my point and click Sony, but this one is yet another Sony taken wedding. Summer season is approaching and I promise to have much better photos for you from here on out. Summer season actually starts for me May 1st even though it is still very snowy in Tahoe. We've got lots of girls getting married in May and June and I am looking forward to everyone of those weddings. It is going to be a great summer! Anyway, I'll stop now and show you some photos from Kim & Geoff's wedding we had here in March. We actually got the pleasure to host four events for this family: a spa day, a rehearsal dinner, a wedding, and a brunch. It was a lot of fun.
The colors of the wedding were primarily a clover green with brown accents. In order to bring them all in, they used the white tablecloths that came with the site fee and also ordered white chair covers and chocolate brown sashes. We also put together their centerpieces -- simple but nice! We can do these in any color that you like as well.
Check out the kids' table! They were completely occupied all night long!
Katie, with Tahoe Katie Cakes made the cake. It was a very nice and elegant. It was an all fondant cake with purple sugar paste flowers and green leaves that Katie made from scratch.
Starting about a month prior to the wedding, I was receiving packages almost daily of candy. They had decided to go with a candy buffet for favors, but were driving all the way from Texas so they had it shipped to me. My office literally smelled like chocolate and I am definitely not complaining! I got to put together their candy buffet for them -- I love doing candy buffets. Not only do they smell great, but you can make them look great as well.
You can't tell me you wouldn't dig into that...!
Next up -- Jen and Tim's hilarious wedding (that I missed!) Professional photos too!

New Beauty Packages!
Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great Spring. The weather in Tahoe has been nothing short of amazing. Still snowing -- can you believe it? At least we will have a good lake level this year if the snow keeps up!
Recently, the all of the ladies in our department sat down to brainstorm what we could possibly do to enrich their entire wedding experience at The Ridge. One of the ideas that we came up with were Beauty Packages! I love this idea. The beauty pacakges offer you and your bridesmaids a day of relaxation and pampering without ever leaving your hotel room. All of them can also be customized to suite your needs and what you and your bridesmaids would like! Just click on the link below to enlarge the photo. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime!

Marianne & Hoku -- Bringing in the bright colors of Hawaii
First of all, let me apologize for the long hiatus between blog posts. March was a pretty hectic month here at The Ridge.
Because I don't want to leave any great wedding photos out, I will start by showing you photos from Marianne and Hoku's wedding on February 27th. Marianne and Hoku planned a destination from Hawaii and brought bright a vibrant orange into the Hungry Bear Restaurant. I do also have to say a big thank you to Marianne as well for helping me plan my trip around Hawaii as she was a staple in my planning!
All photos are courtesy of my Sony point and click and I am not a wonderful photographer/editor. In a few days, you will be able to see some professional photos taken by one of our photographers. So, keep reading...!
Their centerpieces reflected the orange theme perfectly!
Since all of the guests were traveling, small hand sanitizers provided to them as favors. They were placed in a basket at entry table so that they could help themselves as they arrived to the reception.
They chose to use white chair covers and pumpkin lamour sashes and table runners for each table.
One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing their cake! It was really original and made by Katie with Katie Cakes and Sugar Pine Bakery. She does a really wonderful job! They chose a custom cake by Katie that best represented what type of event they were going for. Marianne and Hoku were both really fun and relaxed people and there is no doubt that their wedding reflected that.

A Valentine's Eve Wedding!
Hi All!
I wanted to start my first fun blog post off with some photos of a recent wedding that we had here. Victoria and Mark got married here on February 13th so, needless to say, they had a great theme available for their wedding. Red, white, hearts, hearts, and more hearts!
Let me start off with the cupcakes! For their wedding, Victoria and Mark decided to go with custom made cupcakes that had their photo on them. How cute are they?
Victoria and Mark had a rather large wedding, topping off at 145 guests! As we always say, the bar can be a popular place at a wedding and their friends were no exception to the rule!
Mark and Victoria had a fantastic plated meal and a wonderful event to follow. They were so much fun to plan with as well! I had a great time planning with them the last nine months as well as a great time with them on their wedding day! We wish them nothing but the best!

Keeping with the Valentine's Day theme, placed all around the room were bells with directions on them. Each time a guest would ring the bell, Victoria and Mark would have to kiss.
Spread throughout the middle of each table were red and white flower petals and votive candles.
