First of all, let me apologize for the long hiatus between blog posts. March was a pretty hectic month here at The Ridge.
Because I don't want to leave any great wedding photos out, I will start by showing you photos from Marianne and Hoku's wedding on February 27th. Marianne and Hoku planned a destination from Hawaii and brought bright a vibrant orange into the Hungry Bear Restaurant. I do also have to say a big thank you to Marianne as well for helping me plan my trip around Hawaii as she was a staple in my planning!
All photos are courtesy of my Sony point and click and I am not a wonderful photographer/editor. In a few days, you will be able to see some professional photos taken by one of our photographers. So, keep reading...!
Marianne and Hoku are great snowboarders so they decided to name their tables after various ski resorts. They came up with a DIY project that was very unique and cute. All of their wedding had orange elements; in this photo you can see the top of their programs as well. Under the programs was my favorite part of the entire day -- they had a Marianne and Hoku trivia game for their guests. It asked simple, but fun, questions that pertained to their relationship. Whoever got the most right at a table got a prize that the bride and groom provided.
Their centerpieces reflected the orange theme perfectly!
Since all of the guests were traveling, small hand sanitizers provided to them as favors. They were placed in a basket at entry table so that they could help themselves as they arrived to the reception.
They chose to use white chair covers and pumpkin lamour sashes and table runners for each table.
One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing their cake! It was really original and made by Katie with Katie Cakes and Sugar Pine Bakery. She does a really wonderful job! They chose a custom cake by Katie that best represented what type of event they were going for. Marianne and Hoku were both really fun and relaxed people and there is no doubt that their wedding reflected that.
